Ghost Squadron Experience
In 2020 as the world was shutting down, The idea was to bring the automotive world's attention to South Coast Plaza. Tim and his team repurposed an old Sears automotive center into a premiere stage for the hyper and mega car community. With shows like the Geneva International Motors Show, The New York auto show, and Monterey car week closing down due to Covid-19, the team wanted to create a safe place for the auto community to still see the unicorns of the automotive world in 2020. He knew that one unicorn would bring them all together. "Ruthie" the world record-breaking Koenigsegg Agera Rs. Mark, the record car owner, inspired the idea with the attitude, "This car doesn't belong in a museum. It needs to be seen in the streets". With Ruthie as the headliner, the others would soon come.
The others included the internationally known Ghost Squadron and the North America debut of the Koenigsegg Gemara and Jesko Absolut. Since its inception, the 277 Experience has been the host to other famous cars making their debuts and cars coming out of hiding that haven’t been showcased in decades. Other notable events included a book signing and art show by Alison Mosshart of The Kills, a shooting of Jay Leno's garage, and the Festival of Children toy drive that raised over $50K and collected over 3000 toys for charities in Orange and Los Angeles county.
